OUR DREAMS
We dream of the role of Sitio dos Anjos, that its humanist project is a reference for an ecologically sustainable present and future.
We live today on miracles. Although we insist on believing and living like this, we want to have a minimum guarantee that this project can be sustained in the medium and long term. Therefore, we are eager to meet new friends who share this dream and would somehow like to participate.
Our challenge is to keep the dream, expand the possibilities that the place offers, make the Site more and more a place of good human practices.
One day I dreamed! Was he awake? I was sleeping? I don't know, but I wanted to share my dream. So I called one who called another who called another. And many came...
Today, we embark “in full” on the dream of Pope Francis in the Encyclical Laudato Si. Our proposal is to experience with everyone the opportunity to live and bring to their lives a ray of hope that it is possible to change the world. Let's start with small things!
MAKING THE DREAM A REALITY
The physical structure of Sitio dos Anjos (chapel, bedrooms, cafeteria, spaces in nature, vegetable garden...) was lovingly prepared to work with children, teenagers and young people and to include them in an authentic life project: to be builders of peace and of reconciliation and reverence for all creation. The path we envision passes through thoughtful reflection, spirituality, artistic work, awareness and practice in relation to the environment. In a word: that they are protagonists of another possible world.
The children and young people who are the target of this experience are basically boys and girls of different ages from the favelas in the east side of São Paulo and nearby. To this end, the entire structure was designed and prepared to properly receive approximately groups of 50 young people with safety and comfort.
The site is also used for other groups that share the same ideal.
We believe in the boldness of the Sitio dos Anjos project. Its foundation is found in spirituality and for this reason it is dedicated to the Mother of Latin America, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We have employees who are aware of the issues that affect children, adolescents and young people. They collaborate in person and financially so that this work continues to bear good fruit.
