We are inside the first Cathedral that God created: nature. So the Scotsman John Muir, father of the ecological movement, called it when he saw the spectacular splendor of the Redwood forest in California in the middle of the 19th century. We don't have Redwoods and we're not California. However, our “Cathedral”, born inside the original cathedral of nature and which bears the name of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is, in its simplicity and architectural originality, a spectacular iconic work. Many hands went together so that this utopian dream could come true. Loving hands and calloused hands for the harshness of life. Lovingly hidden hands; happy to work in silence and anonymity. Dreamy hands and wise hands in the art of creating from nowhere the enchanting beauty that saves us from boredom. And the lack of meaning in our lives. Hands that, from the acquired wealth, still wanted to be part of a solidary dream. And hands that had nothing. However, out of nothing, they gave what they didn't even have.
